Areas We Serve in Simcoe County
Based in Barrie, near enough the middle of the county to reach Orillia, Wasaga Beach, Alliston or Bradford inside an hour.
Where most of our work is.
These four have their own pages, because the ground, the by-laws and the kind of work are genuinely different in each one.
Barrie
Fence post holes to 42 inches, deck piers to 48, set in concrete and left aligned and plumb.
See the Barrie page
Springwater
Rural post hole digging across Springwater Township, from Midhurst and Snow Valley out to Elmvale, Hillsdale and Phelpston. Long runs, mixed ground, wells and septic located first.
See the Springwater page
Wasaga Beach
Post hole digging in Wasaga Beach, where the ground is sand and the wind comes off Georgian Bay. Depth and a proper concrete collar are doing all the work.
See the Wasaga Beach page
Simcoe County
One crew, the whole county. Fence post holes to 42 inches and deck piers to 48, from Orillia down to New Tecumseth and from Collingwood across to Georgina.
See the Simcoe County pageThe rest of the county.
Orillia
North end of the county on Lake Couchiching, about 40 minutes from the shop. A lot of waterfront and older housing stock, so post replacement and deck piers on sloping lots are the bulk of it.
Innisfil
South of Barrie along Lake Simcoe, and one of the fastest growing parts of the county. New subdivisions mean first fences on bare lots, and the Alcona and Lefroy waterfront brings deck and shed footings.
Collingwood
West at the foot of the Blue Mountains, similar sandy shoreline ground to Wasaga Beach with more slope behind it. Chalets and rentals, so decks and railings come up as much as fences.
Essa
Angus, Thornton and Baxter, directly west of Barrie. A mix of village lots and farmland, and the Base Borden area, with clay through most of it and long property line runs.
New Tecumseth
Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham at the south end of the county. Established village housing plus a lot of new build, and clay ground that makes full depth matter.
Bradford
Bradford West Gwillimbury, south again toward the Holland Marsh. The Marsh itself is deep organic soil, which behaves nothing like the clay around it and is worth talking through before we quote.
Newmarket
York Region, about 45 minutes south. Mature subdivisions where most of the work is replacing a post line that has been in the ground 20 years.
Aurora
Next to Newmarket in York Region. Larger lots and older trees, which usually means working around roots and tight access rather than open yard.
Georgina
The south shore of Lake Simcoe, Keswick, Sutton and Jackson’s Point. Waterfront and seasonal properties, sandy in places near the lake, and a lot of deck and dock adjacent footing work.
Oro-Medonte
East and north of Barrie over the Oro Moraine. The stoniest ground we dig, mixed till with cobbles and boulders, so this is the one place a hole occasionally has to shift to get past something.
Clearview
West toward Stayner and Creemore. Rolling farmland, long runs, and properties on wells and septic, so we locate those before choosing post positions.

Service area questions, answered.
We are based in Barrie, in the middle of Simcoe County, and we work the whole of it plus Newmarket, Aurora and Georgina in York Region. If you are not sure you are in range, call (705) 796-7789 and ask.
Distance is one of the things that goes into a quote, along with the number of holes, the depth and access to the yard. We will give you a price for your actual job rather than a range.
Barrie, Wasaga Beach and Springwater, in that order. Those three have their own pages with the local ground conditions on them.
Yes, and we work with absent owners. We need access to the yard and the locations marked, and we send photos before and after.
